Clearing out the camera

While these pictures could have been sorted into several posts and better organized, that would have taken far too much time and I am a little bit lazy. So here's the story:
Leó playing Soccer a.k.a Football

Looks as though these Canadian couchsurfers were playing with my camera

This guys name is Paul, he is from Winnipeg and wants to be a director, I think
Maybe he should consider acting

This is his girlfriend, Alyssa, also from Win.

Her tongue looks a little scary here,

But she was a good cook.

Kasper and I dug up our garden, The potatoes did well but I think the carrots could have used a little more space in between. Yes, those stringy things are carrots.

On Leópolds first birthday we woke him up really early so we could all sing for him before everyone left for school. He was a little tired.

Like all baby's, he did not really understand the idea of blowing out the candle, on a waffle.

At least he looks happy here.

Stefán was a very helpful brother when it came to opening the gifts, a car rug and garage.

With three boys, these toys get a lot of miles on them.

He gets it.

There seems to be some law that when you are trying to have a birthday party, trying to take pictures, no one looks at the camera.

Ever.

The English speaking table.

Little Tommy, only here for the cake. Kids are so honest.

Leópold's first cheeseburger ever.

And he likes it.

And so did Rósa after he dropped it.

Washing

Here you can clearly see that Leópold spends far too much time around me, that or I clean too much. Give this little guy a cloth and he starts wiping away.

Little Monster

If you leave the bathroom door open for 2 minutes this little guy is in there like a dirty sock and the next thing you know, the house is covered in toilet paper.
He just grabs the end and runs.

leópold, the baby model

I know I have a probelm, but I can not stop taking pictures of this little guy. Here he is at his Amma and Afi's over the weekend.

Leópolds first haircut

Before
After

Even if it seems a little cruel to take the clippers to a 7 month old, that hair was always matted with food. It had to go.

Growing and changing

Leópold is, like any baby, growing up very very quickly.

Last week he got his first tooth.

He has now not only perfected his crawl to a racing speed but has also started pulling himself to standing up on chairs, couches and everything else, including the dishwasher. This has led to many heavy items, like the stools, being put into storage.

Besides oatmeal, now mixed with raisins, he will also eat pureed carrots and apple. A bit of variety.

I let him chew on a teething cookie, I don't think I ever saw him more happy. In hindsight it was a little more sugared then he should have been having.

He can say dadadadadada

And he waves goodbye, with a closed fist, and it involves shaking his whole arm around, but you can see what hes trying to do.

Sometimes it is almost hard to recognize him from the baby I had nearly 7 months ago.

Last time

This fabulous Saskatchewan Roughriders shirt was a Christmas gift from my Dad. It came all the way from Canada, and not just anywhere inn Canada, but Saskatchewan. No one ever knows where that is.

Anyways, Leópold was a big baby and hardly fit the shirt from the moment it arrived, but I was stuffing him into it. IT just seemed right, that a football players shirt was a little tight and hardly fit.

Today I packed this shirt away, it was just getting way to small. It was actually looking like a belly shirt on him and it didn't look good. Time to save it for the next one :Þ

But here it is, the picture I always wanted to post, to show my little football star in training.

You may notice his hair is getting rather light now so it is looking like I will still be the only one in the house without yellow hair.

Not so tasty

Plan A was to wait the full 6 months before giving Leópold food, but 2 weeks early I gave in, the kid was just too hungry.
So we started out with the baby rice cereal, just like your supposed to, and he hated it.
I guess the stuff doesn't taste so good, or he is a really fussy eater.
Following the suggestion of a friend, we sweetened it up a little with apple juice, he seemed to like this much better.
I guess he has my sweet tooth.

This one about sums it all up
