Skytrail

I would guess that the most popular tourist destination in Outlook would be the Skytrail.
A part of the Trans Canada Trail  and the longest walking bridge in Canada  make this something to remember. In our case it gave us something to do while we waited for the cousins  to get home from school.

Leó, never in a hurry to get there.

A world war monument on the way to the bridge

swimming and poutine

with some roasting hot weather comes a lot of time at the pool. this is difficult to picture since the camera does not like getting wet. Once we even ate poutine after. We often went to Lakewood, my dadś favorite pool, but mostly we were hanging out at Lawson, our favorite pool, full of waves.

The nearly whole clan - sask side

One night everyone met up at my Dad's house for a BBQ gone not so well, it rained, so we stayed in.
Travis and Cory are my step brothers, Glenda is my Dads girlfriend (possibly wife, but I dont know for sure) and  Issak is Cory's son.
Shantell is my half sister and Mattew and Caleb are her boys.
Dennise is Cory's girlfriend.
I can not remember Travis's girlfriends name, and I should because they have been dating since before I moved to Iceland. I am really sorry bout that.

Shantells

During our time in Out look we stayed at Shantells house. It was such a great chance to get to really know her boys and catch up. My sister and I are only 13 months apart, so we really grew up together.

Snacks for when your feeling lonesome

Kasper thought these were great. I agree.

when in doubt, go to the playground.

admittedly Outlook is not the most happening places to be. As a sort of tourist I had one heck of a time finding an activity each day. So we spent a lot of time at the playground. Matt and Caleb are my sisters boys.
Leó, possibly eating sand

Would you believe these sand toys ate all over the place? You don't need to bring anything to the playground, the place is full of them!

Digging, digging, digging

Awesome - and looking for trouble

Sometimes Kasper felt just way to cool for this.

It's hard to be 11.

Leó was so happy to just push tractors around while the other boys worked together.

Bury

Just so content

He thought this thing was a little creepy

Stefán burying Matthew

Everyone working together to totally cover him.

Just Caleb

Stefán, just hanging around

Kasper - animated as usual

Leópold the puppy.

Holy Crap - it's a cereal

Imagine my surprise to find this little bag of gems on the grocery store shelf in Outlook .
If it would have been a little more reasonably priced, I probably would have bought it, just to keep on the counter at home.

On to Sask

We flew from Toronto to Saskatoon. A nice late afternoon flight. No stress and even better, the plane was half empty. Leaving Stefán three seats to himself. Lucky guy.
Here is the lucky guy

Leópold, the frequent flyer

Stefán - he's just that kúl

Lunch at Anne's

Leópold - prepared for anything as usual

Kasper - the master face maker

Leó again

Anne, Davíð's Aunt, relaxing in the shad

Kasper and Stefán trying to catch a chipmunk with peanut butter and a stick.

Mona, Davíð's Nana, in the Móna shirt we brought from Iceland.

I guess Móna is an Icelandic name - who knew?
On our last day of our first trip to Toronto, Mona picked us up and took us over to Annes house for lunch. Anne lives in a very old (170 years?) house that she has made amazing. And the garden is beautiful with squirrels and chipmunks everywhere!
