Hvað mikið er nóg?

I guess the town is judging my parenting now.
I guess they judge everyones parenting because they sent us (and not just us) this great free book in Icelandic called: Hvað mikið er nóg?. The English version is How much is enough?
Thanks, its:

Everything You Need to Know to Steer Clear of Overindulgence and Raise Likeable, Responsible and Respectful

Thanks Reykjanesbær. I want my kids to be likeable too.
Thank you taxpayers for the great book I can not read.
It looks good on my bookshelf already.
In fact, I think I will refer to it as a reference for my horrid parenting :)
And I thought the town was broke!

The Complete Maus

In case you have not read it, do it now.

Actually, I do not usually care much for comic books. I find the pictures really distracting, but this one I read twice, over the weekend.

I will not get into the story, everyone else does. I just think it should be read.

Some good reading on the way

It was a good day today, while wasting some time at work I noticed some new books by Naomi Klein.

I read No Logo a few years ago and was hooked. (I had actually bought it for Davíð for his birthday because I wanted to read it)

Today I ordered The Shock Doctrine: the Rise of Disaster Capitalism. Sounds promising.

Now I can only hope the 10-12 weeks shipping will pass by fast so I can feed my brain.

The Bad Mother's Handbook

I have to say, trying to find a good book in English at the library is a little crazy. They are unorganized (there is the English shelves and that is it for organization) and I suspect the collection is built on donations, so you see a lot of the same thing. There is a lot of mystery, Steven King, V.C. Andrews, you know, stuff like that.

This is not my favorite kind of reading.

But last week I found this: The Bad Mothers Handbook. It was great and very perspective. (Even if the ending was a little unrealistic)
