On the base they did Halloween, and I was so happy my boys got to see it the way it is in Canada.
Usually Iceland does not do Halloween, so I was always telling the boys how it was in Canada.
They loved it.
Halloween is here in canada is no longer the same parents take there kids to the mall cause there so concerned about it being to cold here what a pile of crap I remember going trick or treating in the snow so save the serman for church where some one will actually listen.
We had a beautiful, warm halloween this year. It wasn't windy, cold, rainy, snowy, or anything! Audrey dressed up as a bunny and went out with the 3 year old down the street for about 30 minutes. Dads accompanied them and us moms gave out the candy to - get this - 12 kids! I don't know if we don't have a lot of kids in this neighbourhood or if people stayed home because of the H1N1 scare, but we now have many many bags of Doritos and several chocolate bars in our house.
Either way, we had a great evening. I'm glad that you and your boys were able to have a good time too.
wow! only 12! we gave out over 60 chocolate bars, one per kid. looks like Halloween did better in Iceland. I have heard more kids go to the mall now, but I think it is better door to door! lucky for you to have leftovers!
