I never thought of myself as very materialistic, but these boots were, by far, the most expensive article of clothing that I have ever owned. They might also have been one of the coolest things I will ever own.
But they have a hole in them. I do not think they would be the same with a patch.
I still wore them all winter with a hole. My toe was cold and they were always wet.
It rains a lot here, rubber boots are much more practical.
So today I said good bye to my cool boots. I will miss them.
